Ingredients:
For rice
- 1 piece flank steak, about 1 lb (500 g);
- 2 cups jasmine rice;
- 3 cups (720 ml) water;
- 4 fresh eggs;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
For marinate
- 1/2 tablespoon minced ginger;
- 1 teaspoon liquid aminos (a healthier version of soy sauce can be find in health food store or upscale market);
- 1/2 teaspoon dark soy;
- 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil.
For sauce
- 2 tablespoons dark soy;
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil.
Recipe:
Serving for 4
- Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in wok/frying pan;
- Fry eggs to sunnyside up, set aside;
- Clean flank steak and pat dry;
- Cut to small pieces and mince in food processor;
- Marinate and mix well;
- Rinse rice and cook until water start to boil, looks like eyes;
- Mix in minced beef;
- Cook until beef turns color and done, about 7 - 10 minutes;
- Transfer to a bowl;
- Place fried eggs on top;
- Serve hot with sauce.
