Minced Beef with Tomato 番茄炷牛肉

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb (750 g) ripped tomato;
  • 3/4 lb (375 g) minced frank steak or ground lean beef;
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
  • Sea salt, adjust for taste.

For marinate

  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch;
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt;
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger;
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil.

Recipe:

Make about 2 cups

  1. Cut tomato to 1 1/2” (3 cm) cubes;
  2. Cook to sauce like consistence in a sauce pan over medium heat;
  3. Set aside;
  4. Mince frank steak;
  5. Add minced ginger, cornstarch and sea salt;
  6. Marinate for 5 -10 minutes;
  7. Add vegetable oil;
  8. Marinate for another 5 -10 minutes;
  9. Add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to a large sauce pan/wok over medium high heat;
  10. Add minced beef and spread it out evenly;
  11. Cook until beef change color;
  12. Pour in tomato sauce;
  13. It is done when it comes back to a boil;
  14. Season with sea salt, adjust to taste;
  15. Plate and serve hot with rice.
