Steak House Salad


For salad

  • 1 medium iceberg lettice, about 1/2 lb (0.25 kg);
  • 4 strips smoke duck bacons, can be substitute with bacon.

    For dressing

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mild cheese (Australia cheddar), grade.
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream;
  • 1/8 cup (30 ml) half and half;
  • Sea salt and black pepper.


Serving for 2 as salad

For salad

  1. Put smoke duck bacons in a medium size sauté pan over medium low heat until crispy;
  2. Place down the broiler if you want it more crispy;
  3. Cut iceberg into half or quarter depend on the size;
  4. Top with dressing and crispy smoke duck bacons and serve chill.

For dressing

  1. Mix cheese with sour cream;
  2. Add half and half to make it more like a dressing;
  3. Add sea salt and black pepper, if desired.
