Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb (250 g) fresh scallops;
- 4 pieces bread;
- 10 cloves garlic, about 4 teaspoons, finely minced;
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise;
- 4 teaspoons grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
Recipe:
Serving for 4 as appetizer
- Clean scallops, pat dry and wrap with paper towel;
- Put back to the refrigerator until ready to cook;
- Pre-heated oven to 450˚F (235˚C);
- Cut scallops to small pieces;
- Place on the bottom of ramekins;
- Top with minced garlic;
- Place in the oven for 5 minutes;
- Cut bread in the shape of the ramekins, set aside;
- Take them out, spread mayonnaise and top with bread;
- Put back under the broiler for 2 minutes;
- Sprinkle grated cheese on top of bread;
- Place them back under the broiler;
- Keep an eye on them to avoid burning;
- Let them cool and serve warm.
