Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces large shrimps/prawns, about 1/2 lb (0.25 kg);
  • 2 pieces bamboo skewers;
  • 1 teaspoon safflower oil (for high heat);
  • 1 large jalepano pepper, thinly sliced;
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro, finely chopped;
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder;
  • Sea salt.

Recipe:

Serving for 2

  1. Devine the shrimps/prawns;
  2. Clean and pat dry;
  3. Push bamboo skewers in shrimps/prawns lengthwise to hold their shapes;
  4. Add safflower oil in a sauté pan over medium high heat;
  5. Place shrimps/prawns in;
  6. Turn after a minute and cover;
  7. Cook until shrimps/prawns turn pink, about 2 minutes;
  8. Add jalepano pepper slices, white pepper powder and a pitch of salt;
  9. Top with chopped fresh cilantro and turn off heat;
  10. Plate and serve hot.
