Stuffed Avocado with Crab Meat and Cheese


  • 1/2 cup cook crab meat;
  • 2 avocados;
  • 2 stalks celery, cut to small cubes, about 1/2 cup;
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, adjust;
  • 2 pieces any mild soft easy melting cheese;
  • 2 tablespoon finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese;
  • Sea salt and pepper, optional.


Serving for 2

  1. Cut avocado to half along the long side;
  2. Take out single large seed;
  3. Scoop the yellow-green flesh out, set aside;
  4. Pill the fibric from the celery stalk and cut to small cubes;
  5. Mix crab meat with celery and mayonnaise;
  6. Fill the avocado with the crab meat mix;
  7. This makes a perfect appetizer;

With cheese

  1. Pre-heated oven to 450˚F (230˚C);
  2. Top the stuffed avocado with a piece of cheese
  3. just enough to cover it;
  4. Place in pre-heated oven for 1 minute or until cheese start to melt;
  5. Spindle grated Parmigiano-Reggiano on top;
  6. Put it back in the oven for another minute;
  7. Turn to broiler for 2 minutes, keep an eye on it to avoid burning;
  8. Take it out and serve hot.
