Ingredients:
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) frozen hash brown;
- 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil;
- 1 tablespoon butter;
- 8 - 10 slices, about 1” (2.5 cm) X 4” (10 cm), Havarti cheese or any mild easy melting cheese;
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Serving for 2
- Add 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil in a sauté pan;
- Spread frozen hash brown even on the bottom when it gets hot;
- Sauté until golden brown on both sides;
- Add 1 tablespoon butter;
- Top with slices of Havarti cheese;
- Place in the 350˚F (175˚C) pre-heated oven for 15 mintue or until cheese start to melt;
- Scatter grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese;
- Put it under the broiler for 2 minutes, keep an eye on it;
- Serve hot.
