Choi Sum, Chinese Mustard Green with Oyster Sauce 蠔油菜心

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 lb (375 g) choi sum, Chinese mustard green;
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) water;
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt;
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce;
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil.

Recipe:

  1. Clean and break choi sum, cut the end of the stems;
  2. Add water in a sauce pan over high heat;
  3. Add vegetable oil and salt when water comes to a boil;
  4. Blanch choi sum for 2 minutes;
  5. Take them out and get rid of excess water;
  6. Plate with oyster sauce and sesame oil;
  7. Serve hot.
